Eva Lawitts (b.1992) is a bassist and songwriter/composer from Brooklyn, NY. 

With her songwriting project Stimmerman, Eva has released two LPs, one EP, and a handful of singles comprising songs that have been called  “ferocious” (Billboard Magazine), “[coloring] way outside the lines, and all the better for it” (Post-Trash), and “[bringing] emotional heft and complexity to heavy sounds and subject matter..a breathing portrait.” (Impose Magazine). Stimmerman currently has a new album in production.

Eva has also served as the house composer for the games company Redstart Interactive. There, she composed and produced the Original Soundtrack for Get-a-Grip Chip, a video game that was released on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation and Xbox, as well as a second OST that is in post-production as of 2024.

In addition to working on her own music, Eva has been the touring and/or recording bassist for: Ali Sethi, Ingrid Laubrock, Carlos Truly, Princess Nokia, Sunny Jain, Nick Hakim & Roy Nathanson, Allegra Krieger, Amirtha Kidambi’s Elder Ones, Oceanator, Renee Goust, Adam O’Farrill’s Bird Blown out of Latitude, Up & Orange, Vagabon, and countless local bands in New York City.

Between 2017-2020, Eva ran Wonderpark Studios, a recording studio in Gowanus, with her longtime collaborator Chris Krasnow. During this time, she served as the studio’s manager, as well as an engineer and producer on a variety of albums.
